Disciplines taught by the department:

4th academic year – Obstetrics (physiological) – 8th term.

5th academic year –Obstetrics (pathological) + Gynecology – 9th term.

6th academic year – Obstetrics and Gynecology – 11th-12th terms.
 

Scientific interests of the department staff are focused on the prevention and treatment of obstetric, extra genital and gynecological pathologies of women.

Students’ scientific society 

Every last Wednesday of the month there is a meeting of the students’ scientific society held at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology No.2 (responsible – Ass. Prof., Candidate of Medical Science Pruglo Anatoliy Konstantinovich)

Special divisions of the department’s work

Within the last 3 years the department has been arranging an international research/practice conference “Current Issues in Obstetrics, Gynecology and Perinatology” each year in May in the city of Sudak.

In 2007 this conference was devoted to the problems concerning the high-risk pregnancy and birth and the problems of endocrine pathology in gynecology and took part on 17-18th May in Sudak.
