The Head of the department is Kutsenko Sergey Nikolayevich, M. D., Associate Professor.
Born in 1954 in Kemero province (Russian Federation). Graduation from the Crimea State Medical Institute in 1978. From 1978 to 1981 resident doctor at the Department of Traumatology in the Simferopol hospital for emergency and immediate care No. 6. From 1983 to 1985 full- time postgraduate course at the Department of Traumatology and Orthopedics in the Crimea State Medical Institute.
In 1988 the defense of Ph. D. thesis written under the guidance of Professor Skoblin A. P. (Honored Science Worker of the Ukrainian SSR). In 1991 awarded the title of Assistant Professor. In subsequent years Assistant Professor at the Department of Traumatology and Orthopedics at CSMU. His research focuses on the method of intramedullary distraction (Bliskunov’s method).In 2010 the defense of post-doctoral thesis.
Currently, Kutsenko S. N. is the Head of the Department of Traumatology and Orthopedics with the Course of Neurosurgery. Board certified (the highest category in Traumatolgy and Orthopedics), Honored Doctor of the Republic of Crimea.
