The Head of the department is Lagunova Natalya Vladimirovna, born in 1958.
In 1981 graduation with distinction from the Crimea Medical Institute.
From 1981 to 1983 study in clinical residency in the Crimea Medical Institute on the specialty “Pediatrics”.
Since April 1984 senior laboratory assistant of the Department of Children Surgery at CSMU.
In 1990 the defense of Ph. D. thesis titled “Efficacy of Health Resort Treatment of Chronic Pneumonia with Bronchiectasis in Children in Yevpatoria”.
Afterwards assistant at the Department of Hospital Pediatrics at CSMU.
Since 1993 Assistant Professor at the same department.
In 1994 Lagunova N. V. became Associate Professor.
From October 2000 to May 2006 the Head of the Department of Propedeutics of Pediatrics.
In 2005 the defense of post-doctoral thesis titled “Pathogenetic Reasoning of Health Resort Treatment for Children with Oncohaematological Diseases”. Since March 2006 Doctor of Medical Science and since June 2008 Professor.
Since June 2006 the Head of the Department of Pediatrics with the Course of Infectious Diseases.
The Honoured Doctor of the Autonomous Republic since 2002. Board certified (the highest category).
The period of science and practice work makes up 23 years.
Scientific interests of Professor Lagunova N. V. concentrate on the improvement of efficacy of treatment for the widespread diseases in children and adults at different stages of rehabilitation including health resort treatment. Over 200 articles are published on the materials of carried out studies. 6 declaration patents are granted.
Professor Lagunova N. V. developed her programs of health resort rehabilitation for children with hemoblastosis with remission (certificate No.12065 issued on 17.01.05) and for patients operated on for thyroid carcinoma (certificate No. 12064 issued on 17.01.05). These programs were introduced into practice in hematological department in the Crimean Republican Children Clinical Hospital, international children medical center ‘Yevpatoria”, republican clinical health resort “Chaika”(Yevpatoria), they are studied at the Department of Pediatrics and Physiotherapy at the Faculty of Post-Diploma Education at the Crimea State Medical University named after S. I. Georgievsky.
In addition to the participation in the scientific studies Professor Lagunova N. V. organizes and optimizes the most part of learning and teaching work at the department and treatment work in children clinic. Under the guidance of Professor Lagunova N. V. 1 Ph. D. thesis was defended, another one is ready for defense and 2 other are being written currently. Besides, 4 Master’s theses on the specialty “Pediatrics” were defended at the meeting of the Academic Council of the University. Member of editorial board of “the Crimean Therapeutic Journal”, member of the specialized academic council D 52.600.01 by the Crimea State Medical University named after S. I. Georgievsky, chairman of the task group of the University on Pediatrics, member of attestation commission of the Ministry of Public Health of the Autonomous Republic of the Crimea responsible for the conferment of medical categories on the specialty “Pediatrics”.
The practice of Professor Lagunoa N. V. is carried out in the Crimean Republican Children Clinical Hospital, Crimean Republican Children Infectious Clinical Hospital, the 1st children clinical association. In addition, Professor supervises the departments of pathology of newborns, premature newborns, neonatal intensive care unit, oncohematology.
