The Head of the Department of Orthopedic Dentistry is Zhad’ko Sergey Igorevich (15.06.1953), graduated from Kaliningrad State Medical Institute in 1980. After graduation worked as orthopedist in Simferopol. Since September 1982 – assistant at the Department of Orthopedic Dentistry of the Crimea State Medical Institute, since 1988 – Assistant Professor at the same department, since 1996 – Professor of the department, and since 1997 the Head of the Department of Orthopedic Dentistry.
Professor Zhad’ko S. I. is the Dean and Chairmen of Academic Senate of Dentistry Faculty, member of University Academic Senate, chairman of faculty commission on teaching and learning dental science subjects, member of task group of the faculty, member of specialized thesis committee, member of editorial board of the magazines “Taurida Biomedical Herald” and “Dental Technologies”. Highest category in Dentistry. Honoured Worker of Sciences and Technology of Ukraine.
Ph. D. thesis was defended in 1987 under the supervision of Professor Gavrilova E. I. Post-doctoral thesis was defended in 1996 with the consultation of Professor Nespryad’ko V. P.
The scientific interests of Professor Zhad’ko concentrate on individual biological compatibility of dental materials in accompanying pathology.
Zhad’ko S. I. is the author and co-author of over 100 scientific publications, 1 monograph. Author of 15 patents of Ukraine. 8 Ph. D. theses were defended under the supervision of Professor Zhad’ko.
