Head of the Department – Roman'ko Oleg Valentinovich, Doctor of Historical Sciences, associate professor.
In 1998 he graduated from Simferopol state university named after M.V. Frunze in speciality “History”. His qualification is a historian, teacher of history. He is a Candidate of Historical Sciences in speciality 07.00.02 - World History.
In 2002 he defended the candidate's dissertation in Kharkov national university named after V. N. Karazin. The theme of candidate's dissertation is “The moslem formations in the German military forces (1941-1945)”.
In 2010 he defended the doctoral thesis in Kharkov national university named after V. N. Karazin. The theme of doctoral dissertation is “Byelorussian military collaboration in the period of Second World War (1941-1945)”.
In 2009 the scientific rank of associate professor of the department of Ukrainian studies was given.
He is the author of more than 100 scientific works.
