NanoContraChem

Nanostructured Materials for the Catalytic Abatement of Chemical Warfare Agents
NATO multi-year SPS Project 984481

NanoContraChem is a multi-year research Project funded by NATO in the framework of the Science for Peace and Security (SPS) Programme.

The main aim of this Project is to develop effective, cheap and reliable inorganic oxide systems for the catalytic decontamination of chemical warfare agents, in alternative to the current chemical detoxification systems, and to evaluate the possibility of a large-scale use in decontamination devices, assessing their toxicological impact on living organisms by rapid and reliable biological tests.
